Eksplorasi Teknik Crochet Dengan Inspirasi Bunga Patrakomala

Abstract

Abstract This undergraduate thesis is entitled “Exploration of Crochet Technique with Patrakomala Flowerâ€. Bandung City government chose the patrakomala flower as the flower icon of Bandung City. The problem discussed in this undergraduate thesis are processing patrakomala flower as a visual inspiration for fashion products, exploring structure textile using crochet and surface textile techniques using embroidery techniques to be used as fashion products with patrakomala flower inspiration, and less optimal utilization of patrakomala flower as fashion product. The purpose of this study is to making patrakomala flower as a visual element of fashion products, to represent the visual element of patrakomala flower by using crochet techniques, and to optimize the use of the visual element of patrakomala flower to become modest wear fashion product. The method used is quantitative method by collecting data through direct and indirect observation, questionnaires, data from journals, books and official sites, and exploration using crochet technique. The benefit of this study is to optimize the potential of patrakomala flowers as a visual inspiration for fashion products and provide a fashion alternative with exploration of crochet with patrakomala flowers that elevate the value of the archipelago.
