Eksplorasi Teknik Crochet Pada Kain Lurik

Abstract

Abstract : Indonesia is a country that has a diverse tradition in the world of textile crafts, one example is lurik fabric .Lurik fabric is a traditional fabric that develops in Yogyakarta and solo. At present, several designers and entrepreneurs are starting to lift lurik fabric as the main material to produce modern products to penetrate world-class fashion. Based on observational data, many modifications were made to the lurik fabric, the existence and color of the lurik fabric, attached to traditional cloth and also equipped with several textile surface techniques such as embroidery, painting and others. In addition to surface textiles, the structure of textiles can be an alternative that can be combined with lurik. Therefore, the crochet technique can be used as an alternative combination with lurik fabric which can be used in fashion products.The method used in this study is a qualitative method and by conducting literature studies, observations and interviews, to collect data on lurik, crochet and the development.
