Abstract

ABSTRACT Workload perception is an assessment given by employees regarding a number of work demands that require mental and physical activity and the perception of workload has positive and negative impacts. Competence is considered as an important thing because employees who do not have adequate competence and who are not in accordance with the needs of the company will hamper the company's performance because of the incompatibility of competencies possessed by employees with company needs. In addition to the perception of workload and competence, there is one aspect that has an impact on employee performance, namely compensation. Compensation is a remuneration provided by the company to employees within a certain period. Company performance has a relationship with the performance that employees provide for a certain period. This study aims to determine the effect of perceptions of workload on employee performance, the effect of competence on employee performance, the effect of compensation on employee performance and find out how much influence the perception of workload, competence, compensation on the performance of Telkom University employees. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires with a sample of 79 employees with probability sampling techniques with the type of simple random sampling. The measuring instrument used is the validity and reliability test while the analysis technique used to test the studied variables is multiple linear regression analysis, correlation coefficient analysis, coefficient of determination analysis and hypothesis testing which are processed using IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 20 The value of the coefficient of determination of the perception of workload on employee performance obtained by 65.93%, the value of the coefficient of determination of competence to the performance of employees obtained by 64.16%, the value of the coefficient of determination of compensation to the performance of employees obtained by 53.87% and the value of the coefficient of determination simultaneously that is equal to 69.2%.
