Peran Media Sosial Group Whatsapp Pada Komunikasi Guru Dan Orang Tua Siswa Di Sekolah Dasar Birrul Walidain Muhammadiyah Sragen

Abstract

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran media sosial group whatsapp pada komunikasi guru dan orang tua murid. Group yang di teliti adalah group whatsapp kelas 1E SD Birrul Walidain Muhammadiyah Sragen. Pemilihan group kelas satu karena orang tua belum banyak tahu tentang kegiatan-kegiatan di SD Birrul, sehingga di dalam group akan terjadi komunikasi yang intens.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan informasi dari hasil wawancara dengan guru dan beberapa orang tua siswa. Peneliti ikut masuk ke dalam group untuk melihat komunikasi yang terjadi antara guru dan orang tua siswa. Penelitian menggunakan Teori Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) untuk menjelaskan peran whatsapp untuk komunikasi antara guru dan orang tua siswa.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran group whatsapp sangat penting untuk komunikasi guru dan orang tua siswa. Untuk guru dapat memperlancar komunikasi kepada orang tua. Sedangkan untuk orang tua akan mendapatkan informasi terbaru dari pihak sekolah.

ABSTRACT
This research’s goal to find out the roles of whatsapp group on the communication between teacher and parents. The whatsapp group studied for this research is class 1E Birrul Walidain Muhammadiyah Sragen elementary school. The selection of class because parents don’t know much about activities in Birrul elementary school, so the communication that happened in the group become intense.
This research’s uses qualitative methods, by gathering information from the result of interview with teacher and parents. Researcher joining to the group's members to analyze communication between teacher and parents. The research used Computer Mediated Communication Theory to describe the roles of whatsapp group communication between teacher and parents.

The result of this research shows the role of Whatsapp group is important for the communication between teacher and parents. For teacher, it can be facilitate communication to parents. While parents will get the latest information from school.
