Representasi Semnagat Nasionalisme Dalam Film 3 Srikandi (analisis Semiotika Roland Barthes)

Abstract

ABSTRAK Film selalu merekam realitas yang tumbuh dan berkembang dalam masyarakat, dan kemudian memproyeksikan realitas tersebut ke dalam layar. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana semangat nasionalisme yang direpresentasikan melalui adegan perjuangan atlet panahan wanita Indonesia untuk meraih medali di Olimpiade Seoul 1988. 3 Srikandi adalah film yang menceritakan perjuangan dan semangat nasionalisme yang tergambar dari sosok 3 atlet panahan wanita. Perjuangan tersebut menggambarkan keadaan dimana 3 atlet harus menghadapi konflik dengan keluarga yang tidak setuju jika mereka menjadi atlet, namun latihan yang begitu keras tidak meruntuhkan semangat nasionalisme mereka menjadi seorang atlet panahan. Fokus dari penelitian ini mengenai representasi semangat nasionalisme melalui adegan dalam film 3 Srikandi. Penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif serta data yang telah terpilih dianalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes. Telah didapatkan hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat representasi dari adegan 3 Srikandi sebagai semanagat nasionalisme yang dominan dalam film tersebut. Semangat nasionalisme yang tersirat dalam adegan ditunjukkan dalam film tersebut serta setting atau latar yang digunakan dalam beberapa scene pada film tersebut. Kata kunci : Film, Atlet Panahan, Nasionalisme, Representasi, Semiotika ABSTRACT The movies always record the reality of life that continues to grow and develop in people’s lives, and it’s projects the reality into a screen. The study aims to find out how the spirit of nationalism is represented through the Indonesian women archery athletes who struggle to win the medals at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul. 3 Srikandi is a film that tells the struggle and spirit of nationalism which depicted from the figure of 3 female archery athletes. The struggle illustrates the circumstances where 3 athletes should face the conflict with families who disagree if they become the archery athletes, the archery militant training does not undermine their nationalism spirit into the archery athlete. The focus of this research is the representation of the spirit of nationalism through the scene in the movie 3 Srikandi. The write used qualitative research methods and selected data were analyzed using Roland Barthes semiotics approach. The research have shown that there is the representation of 3 Srikandi scenes the dominant nationalism spirit in the movie. The spirit of nationalism implicit in the scene is shown in the movie as well as the setting or background used in some scenes in the movie.
